Health Tip -Mental Health & Essential Fatty Acids "Mental function is greatly improved in both children and adults with adequate levels of Essential Fatty Acids. Increase consumption of fish, flaxseed, eggs, butter, and nuts/seeds to provide adequate Essential Fatty Acids naturally, or consider Omega-3 Fatty Acid supplements."

Health Tip -Fat Makes You Fat! "The saying "Fat makes you fat!" was popular in the past, and led to a low fat craze in dieting. The body needs essential fats (Omega-3's and 6's) to make cell walls, nerve cells, brain cells, to transport fat-soluble vitamins in the blood, and to protect organs. Focus on consuming healthy fats in nuts, seeds, avocado, and fish oils. Eliminate trans fats, and minimize heavily saturated fats (Omega-6's) found in processed meats to maximize health."
Health Tip - Raw Fruits and Fresh Homemade Fruit Juices"Raw fruits, or fresh homemade fruit juices that contain the pulp and fiber of the fruit are far superior nutritionally to commercial juices because the vitamins, minerals and enzymes remain intact, and the fiber/pulp slows insulin response. Processed or concentrated juices are diluted and pasteurized (heated) creating a mostly fructose drink similar to soda in insulin response. Try making your own fruit juices in a juicer or blender to maximize nutrition."
Health Tip - What Oils Are You Cooking With?"Butter, coconut oil, and avocado oil are all stable fats that are not damaged by the heating process. Many other oils/fats change chemically when heated, resulting in free radical damage to blood vessels when consumed. Even healthy olive oil is best served cold to avoid degradation when heated. Choose butter, coconut oil, or avocado oil when cooking to minimize risk of cardiovascular damage (free radical damage) from heat-damaged oils."
Health Tip - Control Hunger"Most people need 8 hours of sleep to rejuvenate and balance hormones - especially the hunger control hormones. Plan to sleep 7-8 hours nightly to help control binge eating and weight gain."
Health Tip - Cancer Prevention "Cancer thrives in a low oxygen, acidic environment, which occurs in a body that does not distribute oxygen well (doesn't exercise), and consumes the Standard American Diet (SAD) containing many processed, fried, nutrient deficient foods, with excess sugar, fat and salt. Increase consumption of fruits, veggies, nuts, lean unprocessed meats and antioxidants to create a more alkaline environment, thwarting cancer proliferation."
Health Tip - High Protein Breakfast"Eat a high protein breakfast within one hour of waking to jumpstart your metabolism for the day. Skipping breakfast signals the body that food is scarce, which causes the metabolism to drop into conservation mode, and increases likelihood of increased hunger at the next meal."
